EDUCATIONAL STAFF

Ms. Bryna Hubert - Director/Head Teacher
"Miss Bryna" started with Canfield Kids in July 2007. She graduated from William Paterson University, where she earned a Bachelors Degree in Interpersonal Communications and an Elementary Education Certification (K-5).  She also earned her Early Childhood Education Certification (Pre-3) from the Monmouth University Graduate Program.  Before becoming a part of the CK family, she was a full day Kindergarten teacher in a private school, and has worked in a preschool setting for many years prior.  Aside from being the CK Director, she is also the Head Teacher of our Preschool Program and K5 Enrichment Program.  She has helped to implement and teach our new Curiosity Corner Program to ages 3 and 4, and also created and teaches a developmentally appropriate curriculum for age 5.

Ms. Alison - K4 Teacher
“Miss Alison” started with CK in September 2009 and is currently teaching our 4-year old class.  Alison graduate from Drew University with a Bachelors Degree in Sociology and French, as well as earning her Early Childhood Education Certification (P-3) from the College of St. Elizabeth.  We are very happy to have Miss Alison as a part of our CK staff, and so are the children!  

Ms. Lisa – Head Teacher’s Aide/ After School Program Supervisor
Lisa is an "original" CK teacher's aide starting with us when the doors opened on September 6th, 2005. "Miss Lisa" is now recognized as the Head Teacher's Aide and serves as the After School Program Supervisor and the leading staff member when Bryna is not present. Lisa is a valuable asset to our CK Program and we are lucky to have her.  Lisa is also active in the Morris County Foster Parents Association and she and her husband Harry are parents to 9 children.

Ms. Jill - Teacher's Aide
"Mrs. A" is the most creative teacher at CK and has tons to offer. Jill is another CK original who brings dedication and artistic flair to our program. Jill holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry. She is responsible for most of the beautiful artwork you find throughout the Canfield Avenue School including our Panther by the library and out beautiful musical staff by the Music Room. Jill and her husband Jim have 2 kids, Eileen and RJ.

Ms. Elvera - Teacher's aide
“Miss Elvera” is a wonderful part of the CK family and shows great pride and dedication in working with children. She is an extremely hard worker and loves the CK students endlessly. She is very actively involved in the Mine Hill community and currently serves as a Daisy Scout Leader.  Elvera was an IT professional in her other life. She builds web sites and does IT consulting. Elvera daughter, Danielle also attends Canfield Avenue School.

Ms. Tina - Teacher's Aide
"Miss Tina" is one of the most patient teachers we have here at CK. She brings a sense of caring and nurture to our program like no other. The children look forward to seeing her every day and she feels the same about them. Tina’s youngest daughter, GiAnna, attends in Canfield Avenue School, while her oldest, Ashely, is a CK Summer Camp Counselor.

Ms. Vannessa - Teacher’s Aide
“Miss Vannessa” has been with us for a few years now, and we have watched her grow into a fine child care professional.  Vannessa is currently attending the County College of Morris.  She is a great role model for our older CK bunch and enjoys helping them with homework.

Ms. Quiana -Teacher’s Aide
“Miss Quianna” has been with CK since 2008.  She attended Anthem Institute for Graphic Design and graduated in January of 2010.  Quianna spends most of her time with the Kindergarten children, but does occasionally work with the other CK children as well.  She is very well rounded when it comes to working with all ages and we are lucky to have her as a part of our Kindergarten Enrichment and Aftercare Program.

Ms. Cindy  - Part Time/Substitute Teacher’s Aide
“Miss Cindy” joined the CK team back in 2008.  She is here during the aftercare program and spends most of her time with the Preschool and Kindergarten ages. She has many years experience working with young children and works at Camp Jefferson as a part time counselor during the summer months.
